Monday night workout

February 18, 2008

Tonight’s scheduled workout was Power Intervals by Carmichael Training Systems (CTS).  That workout just kicked my butt.  My legs are fried.  It’s so hard to gauge where I’m at because this morning I swam a few laps and played basketball so my legs were tired right from the start.  Well, here are my stats from tonight’s workout: Total Time: 57:13:10 Total Distance (was on a trainer): 10.68 miles Average HR:  130bpm  Max HR: 166bpm...

Training Schedule: Week of 2/18

February 17, 2008
By

You can find this weeks workout in the left hand column.  I am doing more spin classes, which can be substituted with power, muscular endurance or anaerobic endurance workouts.  I have nothing major planned this week so there should be no excuses for not getting 10 hours of saddle time.

Spin Class

February 17, 2008

Did 2.25 hours of spin class on Saturday.  The first class is 90 minutes and the second class is 45 minutes.  The instructor for the first class is incredible.  He’s a tri-athlete with more energy than he knows what to do with.  He usually teaches all three spin classes in a row.  First class at 7am, second at 8:30am and third class at 9:30.  That’s just a lot of spinning.  The second class instructor...

My Struggle With Hours

February 3, 2008
By

I schedule a lot of hours on the weekend because there is more flexibility.  The issue I’m running into is snowboarding takes up so much time that I can’t get on the bike.  I boarded all day yesterday so I had no saddle time.  I did cancel on today’s boarding just so I could get on my bike.  My goal today is to put in 3 one hour sessions.  So during the superbowl, I’ll...
